LAND ROVER

Land Rover has been a principal sponsor of Eventing at Gatcombe Park since the first running of the British Open in 1983. In March 1993 Land Rover was one of the original sponsors of the new Gatcombe Novice Horse Trials, organised by HRH The Princess Royal, which later became the Gatcombe Novice & Intermediate Horse Trials when a new Intermediate standard cross country course was added with funding by Land Rover. The company is also an associate sponsor and Official Vehicle Supplier to the Festival of British Eventing in August and supplies vehicles to the Gatcombe International CIC** event in September.

For the fifth year running, the company will be lending its name and support to the pinnacle of the Eventing season, The Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials which takes place from 3rd to 6th September.

Land Rover is also delighted to continue as the Official Vehicle of the Senior British Eventing team, which includes World Champion Zara Phillips.

Over the next 12 months Land Rover is looking forward to plenty more success both on and off the course.

Dear equestrian sport lovers

Thank you for attending the first Gatcombe International Horse Trials sponsored by Whatley Manor. Both the Gatcombe organisers and the Whatley team have a common passion: striving for excellence, yet remaining friendly and understated! Attention to detail, and respect for one another are paramount for us. At Whatley, we put our guests first. Here at Gatcombe we put horses and competitors first. Excellence is not perfection, but we all do our best to offer you the best possible experience whilst you are spending time with us.

I would like to wish to all the riders, owners and grooms a successful weekend, but above all a fun weekend, during which you all work in harmony with your horses towards safe and exhilarating rides. To all the officials and volunteers thank you for your time and making the event possible. And finally, to the spectators I wish you all an excellent day out and thank you for supporting your local International Horse Trials.
